Viktor graduated from the hockey school of Metallurg Magnitogorsk and he played for Metallurg-2 in 2008. Afterwards, from 2009 to 2012, he was part of the youth team "Steel Foxes".
The 2010-11 season marked Viktor Antipin's debut in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), but only for 2 games. After one season in the MHL Antipin and Gonchar - one of the country's leading defenders - both joined Metallurg in the 2012-13 season. Other Well-known teammates of Antipin were Evgeny Malkin and Nikolay Kulemin in “Metallurg Magnitogorsk”. Gonchar and Antipin made up the first pair of defenders of the Magnitogorsk club, which was a great honor for these young players. Additionally, the pair entered the team during the draws of the numerical majority. During the 2012-13 season, Antipin played in 57 games and scored 11 goals. With this successful entry in the KHL led to six more seasons with Metallurk. In this time the team won the Gagarin Cup two times in 2014 and 2016.
Viktor Antipin's contract ended in 2017. He moved on to sign a one-year contract for the "Buffalo Sabres", a New York state hockey club, in the USA and played in the National Hockey League (NHL).
Viktor is the silver medalist of the 2012 World Youth Championship where he participated for the Russian national team. Since 2014, he has been regularly called up to the main team of the Russian national team. The debut for the national team took place at the Karjala Cup on November 8, 2014, in a match with Finland. In the same season, he played at the Channel One Cup, as well as at the Czech stage of the Euro Hockey Tour.
He was a member of the Russian national team three times at the world championships: in 2015 they earned silver medals, in 2016 and 2017 they reached the third place on the podium.
Victor was born in 1992 in Kazakhstan. He is the eldest son of the well-known defender Vladimir Antipin. Vladimir has participated in two Olympic tournaments as a part of the national team of Kazakhstan and was on the roster when “Metallurg Magnitogorsk" won the Russian Cup in 1998 and became Champion of Russia in 1999. Viktor's brother, Vadim Antipin, is also a hockey player and plays for “Metallurg”, both followed in the footsteps of their father. Antipin's mother, Elena Viktorovna, devoted her life to raising her sons, giving love and inspiring them to become successful in life.
In 2014 Viktor met Yana on a social network and they communicated on a regular basis. He really liked her and treated her in a special way, took steps to meet her and invited her to different cities in which he played. But only in the summer of 2017, they were able to start a relationship in Moscow and never parted since.
During their time together, Victor really appreciated her inner world, found out that she loves sports (she was a professional volleyball player), has two higher educations, completed a master's degree in economics, investments and international business. They talked about completely different topics. It was simple and interesting to keep the conversation going. In September of the same year, they moved to the United States of America to the city of Buffalo, where they spent the hockey season in the NHL. Then, in the spring of 2018, in New York, Viktor made Yana a marriage proposal. In June 2018, a wedding ceremony took place in Moscow with relatives and friends.
In 2020, Victor received a gift of fate, the young wife gave birth to their son, who was named Vyacheslav.
